was one of the innovators in shallow water multi-beam surveying with the development of the ATLAS FANSWEEP 10 multi-beam echosounder in the early 1990s.

The ATLAS FANSWEEP 20 multi-beam echosounders is a proven multi-beam surveying systems that is in service with customers throughout the world. The current product range includes:  

 

The ATLAS FANSWEEP 20 is a multibeam echosounder that combines the advantages of beamforming and interferometric phase measurement techniques to the benefit of a large coverage together with high accurate depth measurements. Independent, simultaneous software processes emulate both the classical beamformer and the interferometer algorithms providing two individual depth estimates which are then resolved into 4096 bathymetry and side scan points across the swath. Additionally correlation filter based on amplitude and phase measurements consolidate these points into a very high spatial resolution with up to 1440 soundings per ping and superior sidescan images as well as backscatter information. Furthermore, these large amounts of depth soundings provide an acceptable basis for fast statistical data cleaning algorithms provided by modern post-processing software packages. Available as 100 kHz and 200 kHz version, the ATLAS FANSWEEP 20 is a reliable multibeam echosounder at a very good price/performance ratio for all kind of hydrographic survey work where IHO SP 44 special order accuracy is required.
